Julia Ruskin is a writer, content designer and strategist, and occasional photographer.
She loves thinking through how
words, language, and all kinds of content can create positive, empathetic experiences.

And she may have a small obsession with
butter after spending a few months learning
how to make French pastry.

(The butter thing is thanks to her time spent at Le Cordon Bleu in Paris after she graduated from Syracuse University and needed to explore her love of baking.)

Having dabbled in many industries as a copywriter, content strategist, internal and corporate communications manager, social media strategist, and photographer, Julia knows that no matter what kind of work she’s doing, she wants to make a difference through language and content.

She makes this positive impact by doing more than fitting words together like puzzle pieces to create compelling stories. For every project, she puts herself in her audiences’ shoes, thinking through what they want to know, how they want to learn more, and the most impactful way to get those messages across.

And sometimes, when writer’s block hits, she bakes some pastries and pawns them off on her friends and colleagues.
